The hottest paint colors for cabinets in 2024
In today’s post we’re going to talk about trending cabinet colors that aren’t white. Now, before I get emails, I want to say white cabinets will never be out of style–they’re classic and timeless.
However, many homeowners are seeking warmer tones for cabinetry now. It seems like the modern farmhouse all white and black everywhere trend is starting to pack its bags and move on and everyone wants a kitchen that is warm and inviting.
If you are thinking about a large-scale renovation, planning a new build or just trying to paint your kitchen cabinets, chances are you have saved an image or two that looks like this.
Warm neutrals is the name of the game in terms of what everyone is rushing to put on their cabinets today.
Now again, white cabinets are timeless, but with this trend you can expect to see creams, beiges, greiges, pale blues and earthy sage green cabinets.
Here are the cabinet colors I love for 2024:
Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige
I’m predicting we’re going to see Accessible Beige on kitchen cabinetry for years to come. This warm neutral is a greige paint color that leans a bit more to the beige side of things and has a green undertone.
You’ll want to pair this color with a backsplash and countertop that relates to this beige/greige tone and make sure the green undertone works well with the warmer stone you select.
Benjamin Moore Natural Cream
This pale greige with a green undertone is perfect for a warm neutral kitchen. Natural Cream is another greige that leans heavily to the beige side of the spectrum.
Benjamin Moore Baby Fawn (Edgecomb Gray)
Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray has been a favorite of mine for years. This easy-on-the-eyes greige with a neutral green undertone is the perfect cabinet color to pair with a warmer stone and backsplash.
If you liked the vibe of Accessible Beige but wanted something lighter, Edgecomb Gray is the ticket.
Sherwin Williams Divine White
Divine White is a beige paint color and wow, are pale beiges trending or what? This beige color has a pink undertone (before you ask, no, there are not beiges without any undertones) and the key to getting this right is to pair it with the correct stone/backsplash.
In the image above, please note, the cabinets are paired with a stark white backsplash, and I recommend you pair this tone with a warmer element that relates to the paint color.
Sherwin Williams Shoji White
If you’re looking for a warm cream/beige, you can’t go wrong with Sherwin Williams Shoji White. This pale cream is saturated enough to warm up a space without being stark. Pair this cabinet color with a warm stone selection.
Benjamin Moore Pale Oak
Pale Oak is a beautiful taupe paint color that happens to work really well with many quartz and warmer countertops that are trending today.
While Pale Oak is a stunning neutral, this color isn’t as forgiving as some of the other greiges with green undertones I highlighted above. Make sure to see how this paint color reacts to the countertop/backsplash you have chosen.
Sherwin Willams Creamy
This might be my new favorite inspiration image! Sherwin Williams Creamy is a cream paint color that is a perfect choice for cabinetry.
Sherwin Williams Dockside Blue
I’m seeing a lot of slate blue tones trending right now, and Dockside Blue is the perfect medium-toned blue with a subtle gray undertone.
Sherwin Williams Dutch Tile Blue
Searching for a unique blue? You’ll love Dutch Tile Blue. This pretty blue with a hint of gray and green undertone is a chameleon of a color and part of Sherwin Williams Historical color collection.
Benjamin Moore Oil Cloth
If you’ve ever come across Farrow and Ball’s Pigeon but didn’t want to pay those prices for that gorgeous paint color, Oil Cloth is about as close as it gets. This is another chameleon of a color as it is a green, but has both blue and gray undertones.
Benjamin Moore October Mist
Searching for a medium-toned sage green that doesn’t pull too much yellow? October Mist is the perfect choice for cabinetry. If you like this direction, another one to check out is Benjamin Moore Saybrook Sage.
